At recently thawed Madora Lake, a lone sandhill crane croaks endlessly as Canada geese fly around and honk and ducks and woodpeckers and frogs and other stuff start their day.

    Hey Tim,

thanks for this amazing recording, the sound is so crisp and clear and the soundscape just tickles one's imagination so powerfully

We have featured your work (as well as some of the more-than-humans on that recording) in our latest podcast episode here: https://www.laforesta.co/podcast/wild-geese

    Cheers

Hi Tim, that was glorious, I was so surprised at the ridiculously clear and strong sound of the crane....

Its really magical to witness a sound from almost a different world (Madora Lake is not even there on Wikipedia!). Thank You so much, it really made me happy.

How I wish every every field recording on Freesound.org was as meticulously captured, and presented in a lossless format to permit editing and processing without degradation. (Of course, one person's "enhancement" is another person's "degradation".)

    Thank you for this.

    Terry
