In the engine room of a large ship. There is a power generator running. Then the engineer blasts air through the engine to clear it of any condensation. Soon the engine starts.
This recording doesn't really do the sound justice. The sound level when the engine is on is 94 decibels. So turn this one up as loud as possible for the full effect.
Recorded with a Sennheiser MKE 600 into a modified Marantz PMD 661.
