1916 Victor Victrola VV-XI phonograph.
This is the sound of the needle stuck at the end of a 78 record after it has finished playing. The lid of the phonograph is down, then it is opened to operate the mechanical switch which slows the turntable to a stop.
Mic position was in front the machine pointed towards the open horn doors.
Recorded with a Sennheiser MKH-416 into a Zoom F8 recorder.
