This is a flat laying stringed instrument from Thailand called a Khim. It is similar to a zither, with many strings and played with leather-tipped bamboo sticks. I don't know how to properly play or tune the instrument, so I am just making some cool sounds with it. Recorded 96k/24-bit stereo, mid/side technique with a condenser and ribbon microphone.
