Thanks for recording this bird! The sound is so unique to Japan.

wisslgisse,
I have Audacity in my computer but have never been able to use its noise removal feature successfully. So, until I get the hang of it, I'm afraid I'll have to keep posting as recorded.

You're welcome snaka. The pleasure was all mine. :-) I didn't mean that you should clean up the noise, just that it should be cleanable. I actually prefer that the samples be uploaded unprocessed if they are very noisy. Under those circumstances, it can take a lot of work and some luck to clean the sample, and I like the option of doing that.
The best way to remove noise is not to put it in, of course, but that isn't always possible. ;-)
In actual fact, I used audacity, http://audacity.sourceforge.net, and did two passes to remove most of the background noise, one with a mix of pink and brown noise, the final with a small part of the noise from the recording itself. Came out pretty clean without losing much of the dynamics on either the crow or the warbler/nightingale. That warbler really has a pretty song.
Warning: if you haven't used a sound editor before, there is a bit of a learning curve, about the same as learning a word processor or a spreadsheet.
Have fun!

Thank you, wisslgisse , for listening to
this recording of mine.
Yes, there is a crow in the background!
I don't know how to remove noise. Any idea how to?

Nice sounding bird, very unique. Sounds a little like digifishmusic's recording of a tropical whipbird.
And as a special bonus, there is a crow? also in the background. :-)
Significant recording noise, should clean up though.
Thanks for uploading.
