i've been wanting to get back into creating sound effects after a long hiatus for a while now, and as i'm currently working on a project that requires a lot of small weapon foley sounds like this, i figured making something like this would be the perfect opportunity to do so. i also just wanted to start giving back to the community again. freesound has continued to be a very valuable resource to me and i wanted to start adding back to it.
sound was created by taking an airsoft AK-47 and shaking it a lot. it was recorded using a Shure SM57 (as were most of my other weapon related sound effects, i kinda forgot to mention that in their descriptions; i'll probably update them later if i remember to). i recorded 3 takes and then i layered them on top of each other to make the final sound. i also partially pitched up the recording by a half-step to make it sound a bit brighter, akin to how sound effects in 90s hollywood action movies sounded. i think the final result turned out pretty okay.
crediting me isn't required if you decide to use my sound, but it would be greatly appreciated if you do!

just found your uploads and i wanted to say you're a godsend. you've uploaded some of the cleaner stuff i've heard on here yet; hardly any background noise, ontop of that a lax creative commons license. thank you VERY much for your work!
