Sandpaper being rubbed on metal, polystyrene, plastic, paper, skin, sandpaper and carpet: sandpaper being rubbed on surfaces causing scratching sounds of various intensities. Harsh, intense scratching sounds. The sound was recorded with a Zoom H6 recorder, making use of the XY stereo microphone attachment. The sound was post-processed in Reaper DAW in order to remove low rumbles and decrease the peaking of some of the sandpaper rubbings (high pass filter and compression). The sound was recorded in the afternoon in a sound-proofed room in order to lessen the influence of external noise in the recording.
