Recorded in 2005 on an unusually chilly September day, while walking in downtown Ottawa, friends and I came across a ceremonial event at the war cenotaph. I thought I'd record the sounds of traffic, people and background music and my timing was good as the choir launched into a sombre and touching rendition of Danny Boy to remember fallen soldiers of war.

Good points, thanks for the comment. There's certainly a trade off in recording performances in the street - if you do too 'good' a job capturing the musicians/singers, I think of it being more just a recording of the song and would worry about copyright etc. But the crowd, traffic and wind noises make it something different for me. Could live without the wind noises though :) - I've made a furry wind-cover for future windy days.
