Sunday afternoon and now it's sleet falling after a day of heavy snow. Sometimes referred to as 'ice pellets', sleet is a form of precipitation that consists of small ice grains. They often bounce when they hit the ground, and generally do not freeze into a solid mass unless mixed with freezing rain. Here recorded falling onto deciduous, low to the ground branches. Applied some low end roll-off EQ. Recorded with a Sony PCM-M10 handheld recorder.

Hi Peter, thanks so much for this awesome sound. I am remiss in not posting before now. I used your recording for ambiance in the closing credits of a video I did last year called Winter Reprise. Appreciate your graciousness in sharing sound! https://vimeo.com/121571293
Thank you SO much :)
Incredible - thank you.
