A rock is thrown onto a lake just after it freezes over. The ice is so thin that a magical sound is made as it glides along until it finally stops.

Dude, can you edit this so the sound gets increasingly louder? That would make for some pretty flippin epic bg sounds!
Lake Ontario, in front of Kingston, Ontario. It did it again this year, but I just missed the sweet spot. You only have a few hours.... as the lake freezes the tone gets deeper until it disappears.
