Early in the morning, we are surprised by a very strong thunderstorm that develops and expresses itself violently above our heads with lightning, thunder, strong gusts of wind and pouring rain.
The recording took place from the balcony of our room, on the first floor of a small building overlooking Piazza Luigi Salvatore D'Austria, in the town of Lipari on the island of the same name.
Now the thunder is much louder and more powerful. The rain has started and is roaring violently on the balcony, on the pavement of the small square it overlooks and on the surrounding houses.
The birds have stopped singing, or at least, they sing much less than they did just now. A strong wind can be heard. The chatter of a child and the meow of a lone cat caught in the bad weather.
