Once again, the opportunity to visit an abandoned building turned up. Now I wasn't there purposefully, but I was just nearby when the storm started. And I took cover there so as not to get wet. And of course, the recorder is always with me. Recorded at the entrance to the abondoned building. Raindrops and water from the roof eaves fall on piles of debris, scattered pieces of furniture, glass and building materials. Infrequent rumbles of thunder are heard.
Recorded June 06 , 2024 on Tascam DR-05x, with post processing.
Location: near the city of Ekaterinburg (Russia)

Sure. I won't say for sure, but the value was about 10-15 units. There was no clipping. Then I had to do equalization, compression, dynamic equalization and limiting in postprocessing. All this is in order to increase the average volume of the rain and pull out quiet rumble. Here the loudest rumble at 2:36m had to be curbed. But as I have already written, you need to be careful so that the thunder are not spoiled by the dynamics especially strongly during processing.
