This recording was made during the celebrations of Dia del Poble Gitano (Gipsy People Day) on April 8th 2015 at Font Màgica de Montjuïc (Barcelona) during the final part of the performance of Costi el Chato.
The aim of this recording is to depict and investigate listening as an act in a specific cultural context, as well as performer-public interactions. In this case listening is accompanied by handclaps and footstamps (palmas y tacones) and there is an high level of interaction between public and performers (who eventually offer an extra unplugged).
Recorded while moving through the public with a Zoom H4N. The microphone was oriented towards the public and notably groups of man and women as well as specific voices, bodies and heels.

Sounds like a very cheap recorder was used, with a bitrate of -1. But thanks for uploading anyway,
Cheers!
Merci!
