Hawaii's siren test day is every first working day of the month. Recorded March 3rd 2008 at 11:45am on a Roland Edirol R-09. My very first field recording... some wind + handling noise + internal mics being used. We all gotta start somewhere!

Absolutely love this, wish I had been there, most I get is fire alarms in my building but that was spectacular.

Yeah, the sound intensifies in the middle because one of the closer sirens, a Thunderbolt, rotated towards my direction. I recorded this on a dock in a canal surrounded by some high rises in town.
