This is a recording of the bat colony, or roost, that is situated in the centre of Bellingen New South Wales Australia. The roost is next to the Bellingen River in on of the last remaining patches of low altitude rainforest in the region. Recorded using Tascam Pro DAT with AKG CK 98 shotgun microphone with P12-48 pre-amp, also known as AKG SE300B.
