Notes on bird identification: I'm using BirdNet-Analyzer (instructions) to try to identify birds in my field recordings. I am not an expert, but this seemed like an easy, convenient way to augment my descriptions and learn something in the process. I typically use a confidence level of 0.5 and I note where the confidence is low. BirdNET-Analyzer was developed by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, who also produce the excellent Merlin phone app.
