This is an example of a bagpipe drone. It was uploaded upon request. Loop is not very well established due to the length of sample. If a very clean drone-only recording is obtained, it will be added to this Sample Pack. This sample is solo player. Gear: Edirol R-4, Apex Omni Mics+Jecklin OSS disc. Original file is 44.1/24b.

Could you upload one with a tenor drone?

Hydra: Without the piper playing only their chanter (or a practice chanter), I'm not aware of a way the pipes could play only the notes. (Perhaps they could take the drone reeds out or something.)
Hansblix84: This is only a very small section of the drones. This sound actually plays in the background the whole time a piper is playing. Someone in the request forum wanted just a drone.
I'm going to have a piper come out to the studio and I can get them to play a longer bit of drones only. These came from live recordings and there was only so many breaks in the playing

Thanks for posting this -- I used this for a phase vocoder resynthesis instrument with Csound. Details here: http://www.csounds.com/node/144 and http://ccmixter.org/files/bmccosar/14783
