I needed one awesome female burp for a sound effect in LiveWire Chicago Theatre's 2008 production of Joshua Aaron Weinstein's play "Soliders: The Desert Stand." The play is about a 12-year-old girl named Toma who wins an army-themed video game and is immediately recruited and deployed to Iraq. The play's absurdity snowballs from there. One scene calls for Toma to burp loudly on cue. Actress Madeline Long pantomimed a massive belch in sync with a pre-recorded burp -- courtesy of me, Germany's oldest Hefeweizen, and ace burper Erin Watson. Here is our entire recording session.
Erin's eructations are interspersed with our chit-chat, but there are some pretty well-isolated burps at :01, :04, :07, :43, 1:08, 1:22, 1:32, 1:43, 2:39, 3:55, 4:09, 5:32, 6:23: 6:40, 7:02, 7:27, 7:34, 8:48, 11:20, 11:40, 13:31, 14:08, 14:21, 14:54, 15:11, 15:53, 16:40, 16:46, 18:04, 18:23, 18:38, 19:00, 19:08, and 19:28.
