Once July hits in the Midwest and the temperature and humidity climbs, the insects take over the sound symphony. This mesmerizing sound was recorded on Friday July 17th, 2015 at Ferne Clyffe State Park in Johnson County Illinois.
I recorded this using a Marantz PMD661 and Rode NTG-2 shotgun microphone.
