L.M.S 8F Class 2-8-0 No.48624 approaches from Leicester North, clatters over the foot crossing, and screeches to a stop with a train for Loughborough. The Guard and a passenger discuss a vintage Lanchester parked in the station yard. Station duties over the Black liveried engine is signalled away towards Loughborough.
G.W.R Hall Class 4-6-0 No.6960 'Raveningham Hall' returns from Leicester North. The engine barks away in true Great Western fashion, the first few beats rebounding off the station buildings and canopy, before blasting under the road bridge and into the open, accelerating powerfully away to it's next stop at Quorn and Woodhouse.
The last train of the day approaches from Quorn and Woodhouse. Double headed and piloted by black liveried L.M.S 8F Class 2-8-0 No.48624 and L.M.S Class Black 5 4-6-0 No.45305. The pilot engine whistles that it is ready to start and this is answered by No.45305. The two engines head over the crossing and away towards Leicester North.
