At Maiden Newton on the Castle Cary to Weymouth line on a wonderful golden summer evening.
The evening birdsong is interupted by the drumming of an evening passenger service approaching in the far distance from Weymouth. A sheep bleats in a nearby field and chickens are heard nearby. A warm breeze gently disturbs the trees. A FGW liveried Class 150 squeals to a stop with it's engine idling rythmically. A couple of passengers alight at the deserted Station. The signal turns to green and the DMU accelerates away towards it's next stop at Chetnole. Peace returns to the sleepy station.
