Late afternoon at Wansford Station after a warm and sunny spring March day.
No. 73050 'City of Peterborough' returns from Peterborough with the last train of the day and squeals to a stop. The train is uncoupled from the coaches, and, after some enthusiastic whistling from the driver (the mics were 12ft away with no limiter on the Marantz!) runs off towards the shed for a well earned rest watched by admiring passengers.
