Underwater sound study at a culvert of a ditch (see photo).
Somewhere in the tube underground, the water runs like a slightly open water tap. Water creatures and plants in the wind make noise. Sometimes the wind is so strong that you can hear the wind along the cables (around 30Hz).
One water creature that sounds like a cricket, is a lesser water boatman (Micronecta Scholtzi, Corixa punctata). Special is the way in which the boatswain makes this sound, by rubbing his penis against his stomach (moment 3:59). And no, this is not a joke. See article
Sometimes I saw, lying in the grass like a little boy, small fish eating from the microphone (moment 1:38). That's that low frequency thumping sound.
That smacking sound comes from freshwater snails eating plants (moment 5:45). It is very likely the Lymnaea stagnalis, better known as the great pond snail. I've seen and heard it before.
On the other side two men are fishing. Sometimes you hear them speak and hear a little splash from the little float and lead being thrown into the water (first moment 16:00).
I also hear several USOs, unidentified swimming objects.
A sleep-inducing sound recording.
