Farmers land near hamlet in the summer night.
Night has fallen and it is raining a bit. Almost everyone has gone inside. After two minutes, the church bell announces that it is half an hour to midnight. A little later it stops raining and the nocturnal ambiance of this farmland can be heard in all its glory. The frog is croaking in the pool behind the farm. A cow turns around contentedly and howls. People are tidying up a bit, a distant car, and then with a firm sneeze and some whispering and a little wind in the trees, the silence slowly falls. However, after 40 minutes a freight train rushes past at a distance of 5 km. Night falls. Sleep tight.
The so-called green camping site "In De (The) Polder" is located near the hamlet of Blauwe Sluis, on the edge of a vast polder, in the province of North Brabant. If I look from our temporary shelter WSW, you would first be able to see and hear the village of Lage Zwaluwe, then the village of Made and then the A59 and A27 motorway at 5 km.
Because this friendly farmer is having a hard time economically and because he started an organic business, the extra income from the campsite is very welcome.
