Ambient.
While Joost van Balkom, plays Ave Maria van Schubert on the carillon of St. John's Cathedral in 's-Hertogenbosch, there is an open-air Tai Thi class in the Jeroen Boschtuin.
Immediately after this song Joost plays the local maria song that makes every old city dweller - like me – cry. (song: Lied van de Zoete Lieve Vrouw van 's-Hertogenbosch, Dutch link: https://www.zoetelievevrouw.nl/lied-van-de-zoete-lieve-vrouw ).
These Marians are played because it is the Marian month for the Roman Catholics.
On the internet there is a beautiful recording of this song. It is included in the same cathedral and is played on the organ by Joost's father. The St. Jacob's Choir sings the song. Even if you don't understand the text, it is an impressive audio recording. Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_fw3cmAXvlI
The "van Balkom's" have been musically connected to the city for more generations. They have been the city's carillonneurs for generations.
So now you've been taught a little bit about what's going on in this city.
Despite all the sounds of the class and the city, I wish you a lot of listening pleasure.
More recordings this morning in the city / More carillon from this cathedral
