Calm ambiance at riverside during corona pandemic evening.

The wind blows through the leaves for a while, but that is getting less in fifteen minutes. The wind is also turning slowly north-west as predicted.

The intelligent lock-down in the Netherlands is starting to take too long for the youth. "No more nagging about corona," they think. Like me, they went to the river. They to escape the supervision of parents and government. Me to make beautiful sound recordings. They unintentionally play a short role in my soundscape.
Now that one of them has got wet feet and it is still cold, they leave.

A fisherman in a sloop comes straight at me across the river.
No, it is not a fisherman, but a boy who is sailing around a bit.
He stops the engine further on and rowes ashore. I think that is a good plan.

In the battle for love, coots rush across the water. They are probably men, they have a big mouth to each other. De Great Crested Grebe watches and pays back for a fish.

Ah, now I get it. Ahead, night fishermen are on shore. They go fishing for carp all day and night. You probably know them from those men aged 20-30 years, all in green with a green tent with a green stretcher and a green sleeping bag. It is never clear to me what those protective colours are. I can't imagine that the fish in the depths can see them even if they were wearing reflective road worker clothing.
Nor do they seem to like noise, which drives the fish away!! Fish are the exception only for the shipping industry. "They're used to that," a fisherman said to me once.

The last time I caught a carp many years ago I was cured. He looked so sad with one eye when I had to pull the hook out of his lip that I gave my fishing equipment to my adolescent neighbour the same day. I never had any problems with the boy anymore.

Although the wind has not died down, it is quiet now. The birds sing their lullabies.

Traffic across the river is now becoming more audible. The planes are all grounded. No ship heard yet. The world holds its breath.

In addition to the corona crisis, the drought in the Netherlands is also becoming a problem. We are slowly getting a southern French weather type. The river is already low again.

Remark: At eight o'clock the bells of different villages ring. Beautiful over the water. (after 47 minutes)

Two teenage girls are cycling over the dike on the right. You can hear their chatter for a moment.
The crows or rooks, I don't hear the difference, keep calling. A group of jackdaws also play zig regularly. The heron only briefly shouts.

Somehow a man has to walk his dog because I hear him shout 'come'.
There are two woodpeckers and an oystercatcher calling.
The sun goes down like this. I'm going home again. See you soon.
