A windy vast polder on a summer Sunday morning around eleven.

The grass and reeds rustle. Hear the vastness of the landscape.
A dog barks constantly at the distant farm. On the old country road, which has been replaced by crushed stone, people who enjoy nature or work on their health run and bike. In the distance for the traffic that runs on the ring road of the city. Crickets sometimes drown out the wind. Crows always make a noise. Sometimes the shouts of a Buzzard.
This makes me happy; if the skylark shows itself for a moment even though it is far away. However, it seems that there are less and less in this area and I find that worrying.

This nature reserve De Rijskampen is part of a vast polder between Vlijmen, 's-Hertogenbosch and Vught in the province of Noord-Brabant in the Netherlands. It has been transformed into an inundation area for the Maas, Aa, Dommel and Dieze rivers that surround the city. This adjustment was made after the flooding of the A2 motorway in 1995. It should not have gone further or there would have been three meters of water in my home. The entire Bommelerwaard, to the north of this area, with 250,000 people, between the river Maas and Waal, was evacuated. Yes, yes, the Netherlands waterland, but not too much please.
