A very quiet day in the dunes in March in the south of the Netherlands.
This area is called “National Park de Loonse en Drunense duinen” and is a silence area in nature.
Occasionally a little wind that quickly sounds loud because of the silence here. The microphone is under an old oak tree with dead leaves. And of course they make a noise. With this I did not implement rule 1 correctly; Where do I put my microphones? I could also have easily placed the microphones out of the wind. Stupid, stupid.
To properly adjust your sound system to the correct volume, the sound must go back so far that you cannot hear the basic hiss in silent parts.
Of course I am not the only person here. Sometimes you can hear them.
Actually, this is silence with occasionally a bird ore person in the distance and some wind. I enjoy it.
