It is the first time this year that the floodplains of the Meuse, a river in the Netherlands, are flooded. This creates a lake with trees. See picture.
A great opportunity to make an audio recording here on the waterfront and between the trees.
On the right the sound of all kinds of birds; buzzard, greylag goose, green woodpecker's smile, other geese, coot, great tit, blue tit, crow , heron and many others.
On the left you can hear the engines of distant ships and far traffic and a church-bell telling it is 1.30 noon.
Occasionally my dog walks through the water near the microphone. Ah, the beast also wants as much fun as his owner with those headphones on and sitting on his stool.
At the end of the recording a military Chinook helicopter can be heard far away and my dog checks the microphone for the last time.
