Ambiance of a river on Sunday morning in March.
Here, along this river the Maas (Meuse), on a Sunday morning in The Netherlands it is quiet.
I am standing along the river and have focused my microphones on the village "Bokhoven" behind the dike.
The woodpecker and the Great Tit, the crow and the cock are heard. The first boat comes slowly and the train thunders over the steel bridge. For a moment you hear the waves hit the riverside. More and more motorcycles are coming from the shed. Logical on such a beautiful day.
Aircraft and a carillon in the distance. Then several church bells strike 9 o'clock. Because it is time for the Holy Mass or the Honorary Service, a church bell announces this fact. Meanwhile, large white swans fly over. You hear their slow going wings.
I hear more and more birds; the common chaffinch, the finch, and the bicycle pump sound of the blue tit. Do you hear the oyster catcher along the river? And another ship.
At 8 o'clock it was still quiet here, but the (human) life is now well under way around 9.15 am. Three different churches on the other side of the water are calling the believers. The morning rest is over, although the photo suggests something else.
Until next time.
