Where the river Maas (Meuse) and the kanaal van Sint Andries meet, my microphones are standing.
The river forms the boundary between the provinces Gelderland and Noord-Brabant.
It is a quiet refreshing afternoon in January. The floodplains have partially fallen dry. Last week it was different. In the distance, different species of geese from the partially flooded fields. You can hear them. Crows and rooks can always be heard. Gulls are occasionally heard.
Although they are far away, you always hear the low hum of ship engines on the river. Two ships pass by in this sound recording.
Even if it is cold, it is still wonderful to have a look over the watery here (listen).
