People old and jong are skating on the natural ice of a small water (Kloosterwiel) near the city of Zaltbommel in the Netherlands. Hear the typical sound natural ice makes.
Some are sitting on chairs and driven around by someone behind on skates.
The ice is about 6-8cm (2-3 inches) thick.
Recorded on >20meters. Water edge is on 2 meters, so sometime you hear the water coming from under the ice onto the sandy shore.
Behind the microphones the river-dike and the busy river Waal which you can not hear.
