Even the barges, yachts and container-ships are not visual and I am 100m from the water, the hum of there engines are always in the background, all year long. The first ship passing after 20 minutes is a million-Dollar-yacht, than a container ship and an other large vessel later.
This winter-afternoon around 1pm it is calm. There are almost now birds around. Only one Northern Wren is afraid of my blimb, that looks like a dead cat, and shouts to it from a pole of the fence along the meadow on 5m. You can hear him the first time after 11.20 minutes and comes back a few time. The cat did not go away.
Geese, ducks, crows and a calling blackbird are audible sometimes in the distance.
The traffic you hear is opposite the river, passing the dike along the village Bokhoven (Noord-Brabant).
This is a good river-image of the noise/sound in Holland during the winter.

This strange MS-setup is developed by me to make it possible to make wide stereo recordings on a distance.
This is a MS (mid-side)-recording is encoded in STEREO Left-Right, so you can encode it to MONO without losing quality of sound.
This is a modern high quality -q10 (1500kbps) OGG Vobis compression file (48000Hz/16bit). The quality is almost as good as the 48/24-WAV original file. You can easily use this file in HD-film and HIFI music-tracks. The sound-quality is, after this compression technique is still very high. The file size reduction is about 75% of the 2304kbps WAV-track
