It's truly rough weather at riverbank in Holland.

Actual picture during this recording.
Standing 8 meter from the edge. The west 5-6 bft wind is coming against the stream-direction of the river. My gear is protected by the summer-dike and low bushes. In front, 40m left and 10 right of me some bare trees. The wind blows very strong through them. The hiss of the wind over the river is great. Even the river is small the waves are about 50 cm high and 4 meter from each other. After 9 minutes the hum of a number of ships / boats on the river become audible slowly (for good listeners after 2.30 minutes, left speaker ). The waves against the bow sound like sea-waves for a minute.
Tip of the day: The best protection against wind in the microphone is your position and second the long hair fur-blimp.
Recorded: at river Maas, near village Bokhoven, Holland. January 30th 2013, 2 pm afternoon.
Weather conditions: partly cloudy, wind W 5-6 bft, temp 9c, wind coming from left.
