Traveling in MRT. (metro rail transit) through Manila (binaural, please use headset for 3D effects).
I made this binaural recording while travelling in MRT (metro rail transit) through Manila (Philippines), from North Avenue station to Taft Avenue station.
First, I’m waiting the train on the platform, and when it arrives, I come in. Then, one can hear passengers chatting, the doors of the train opening and closing, the buzzer when the doors close, voices announcements, and more.
At the end of the file, I exit from the train.
Recorded in August 2025 with a Zoom H5studio and Immersive Soundscapes EarSight Binaural microphones.
Fade in/out and high pass filter at 60Hz -6dB/oct applied in Audacity.
(If you want to use this sound as a mono audio file, you may have to delete one channel to avoid phase issues).

I love how the soundscape envelope widens right out when the doors open, and then huddles back in again when they close.
