collared dove warbling, flying away, then coming back to her nest.
I made this recording during a spring morning, on a 4th floor balcony located in Nice city (south-east of France) while a dove was taking care of her eggs (This one is the small member of the couple). The microphones were clipped on the side wall of the balcony, about 20cm under the nest.
First, the dove warbles, then she decides to fly away (at 1’05’’). But, as the eggs need to be warmed, she’s back at 5’15’’ ! In the background, some birds chirping, and some vehicles passing by in the street.
Recorded in May 2023 with an Olympus LS-P4 and Micbooster Clippy Stereo EM272 microphones (Primo em272).
Fade in/out and high pass filter at 30Hz -6dB/oct applied in Audacity.
