Marching bands in the street during Emperor Napoleon’s historical Parade (part 1).
In the city of Rueil-Malmaison (near Paris, France), every 3 or 4 years, Emperor Napoleon, who was an important people in French History, is celebrated. During two days, people wear period costumes, and one can watch and hear several traditional marching bands playing military music in the streets.
Here is the first marching band, followed by horse-riders wearing beautiful uniforms, followed at about 3’00’’ by horse carriages with Emperor Napoleon and his court (back from the past for this special day, finally followed by grooms, cleaning the street to avoid that the next marching bands would have to deal with unpleasant surprises from the horses... In the background, someone talking in a microphone, people watching and chatting, and applauses.
Recorded in September 2022 with an Olympus LS-100 (internal microphones).
Fade in/out applied in Audacity.
