Man Mo Temple, Hong Kong. (binaural, please use headset for 3D effect)
I recorded this binaural audio file just near the door of Man Mo Temple, which is certainly the oldest and one of the most revered temple in Hong Kong. It is dedicated to Man, who is the god of literature, and Mo, who is the god of war. (The smell of the incense and the lingering smoke creates a special and mystical ambiance).
On my left, there was a place to burn offers for the gods and the ancestors, the gong and the drum that visitors can play to hold their prayers, and further, the entrance and the street. On my right, the temple itself, with the statues of the gods, a place to pray, put incense and give offers.
Here, you can hear Hongkongers and tourists passing by, talking, playing the gong and the drum on the left, and going to the temple on the right...
Recorded in February 2019 with an Olympus LS-3 and Ohrwurm 3D binaural microphones.
Fade in/out and high pass filter at 60Hz -6dB/oct applied in Audacity.
