Day of the Dead prayer in Philippines.
In Philippines, for the Day of the Dead, families go to cemetery to pray for their dead people, and to clean the tombs. If the families have saved enough money, tombs are built like houses (with walls and roof).
In this recording, ladies are praying and chanting for their ancester, while men are cleaning the tomb. In the background you can hear some sounds from the surrounding, including the traffic from the small road passing along the cemetery.
Recorded in November 2016, with an Olympus LS-3 (internal microphones, TRESMIC ON).
High-pass filter 160Hz -6dB/oct applied in Audacity.
