I think this is one of my favourite recordings. It was a beautiful autumn day, not a breath of wind. The perfect day to go fishing. And recording!
The best part is that Gryph who is 10, caught his first fish.
A recording that tells a story and captures the acoustic space of the location.
I used two recorders to capture this story. I set up my Zoom H4n next to Gryph and Gary to get their voices up nice and close and I set up my Zoom F4 with a MS stereo pair about 40 metres away to capture the acoustic space. For the boffins amongst us, the MS pair consisted of a Sennheiser 416 and an MKH30
In post I synced the two recordings up and mixed between the two.

Happy times—a great capture of a remarkable riparian experience and remind oneself to let go of the less important things that worry us needlessly.
This is amazing.
