A daytime recording of our campsite at in the Northern Territory of Australia - I guess it is what people refer to as the Australian outback. I was camped here with the traditional owners of this country, the Warlpiri, who have been the custodians of this land for millennia – many thousands of years!
In it you can hear children playing, ravens crowing, general campsite chatter and the wind whispering in the louvres of a near by building. This is my favorite recording from this trip. It is amazing what a good atmos you can capture simply by placing the microphone in the right position. I think I hit the sweet spot.
An MS stereo recording done with a sennheiser MKH416 paired with a MKH 30 into a Zoom H4n and “sweetened” in Reaper.
