This is an audio portrait of Fryers Forest after a drought breaking rain event in October 2010.
Ten years we waited for the rains to come. It is amazing how dispiriting it is to endure ten years with very little rainfall. And then in October 2010 the rain fell. The creek that had barely flowed for ten years suddenly gushed. The dams refilled and the burden lifted.

I had to listen to this thinking you were pointing out a mechanical bumping noise. But i think what you are referring to are frogs, commonly called Pobble Bonks because of the sound they make.
Love it... What is the regular bumping sound at 11 minutes?
