This is an on-site recording of the audio from an artwork called The Lake by Julie Freeman. The work used real-time fish movement data to create sound and animation. This recording is effectively 16 freshwater fish (Crucian carp, Rudd, Tench, Common carp) creating their own musique concrète style composition.
Recorded at Tingrith Fishery, Bedfordshire, UK.
The work was live Summer 2005, and was supported by a grant from the National Endowment for Science, Technology & the Arts, UK.
