Mark Tree (wind chime) high glissando upA mark tree is a specialized percussion instrument which resembles a wind chime but is usually played by hand. The chimes are finely-tuned and arranged in pitch order. This allows for sweeping glissandos -- either up or down -- or a random, tinkling sound similar to what you would hear on a consumer wind chime on your patio. This wind chime is one of the best in existence, a model TRE70DB by TreeWorks. It contains 140 individual chimes arranged in two rows of 70.The recording was done on a JVC GZ-MG35U camcorder.

ChokDK: Thanks. I collected several variations of this into a pack. I don't have any other versions and I don't plan to create any more. If you want some longer versions, some of these could be looped to make them longer.

Do you have more (longer) recordings of this speciality?
Sounds fantastic

A beautiful set of sounds, very nicely recorded. This would make an excellent effect for the entrance of a spirit in a stage play.
