Me playing a ‘lick’ on my 1970s ‘Zippy Zither’ to demonstrate my homemade contact microphone. The microphone is to this design: http://www.instructables.com/id/Balanced-piezo-contact-microphones/ made out of two piezo transducers and a standard XLR cable.
Quite impressed with the noise floor. The zither actually does sound that thin and un-bassy by itself so it isn’t the best test of the frequency range. Still, not bad for something built for under £5.
