Clear day at Stanage Edge, Derbyshire, UK in late October 2006.The clinking of carabinas
(metal clips climbers use to secure their ropes) and the sound of
climbers talking. A microlight aircraft buzzes the edge from the South.
Stanage Edge has been a very popular venue for climbing for
decades.Sheffield, which is a few miles away, has the hightest
population of climbers in the UK.
Note:there is an amount of hiss on this sample which is probably due to either wind blowing through the grass or the ADC/DAC of the mindisc recorder.
