The car (exhaust) and the wind made a whole mess of this recording.
The weather wasn´t good enough to shift the gear somewhere else and them peewits and redshanks were doing their sounds, but not for this recording. Sorry!

Be glad you get to admire the redshank over there in Scotland. Here in the Netherlands they are on the red list. I find this bird very rarely to my regret. The song of the Skylark is wonderful in the background.
The wind didn't bother me. And cars....... Try to get a nice shot without traffic noise here in the Netherlands.
If I find a sound recording unsuccessful I save it and listen to it after a month. Then the beauty always strikes me again. Actually, there are no bad sound recordings. There are only bad moments to listen back to it and preconceived expectations that never come true anyway.
I think this sound recording suits the windy climate of your beautiful Scotland just fine.
