Recorded after dark from the Iroquois NWR in Western NY next to the main pool in the Swallow Hollow trail loop. I located myself among the sounds of many calling Gray Tree Frogs near and far , that at times echoed across the pool. The squeaks, twangs, and occasional splash of Green Frogs can be heard near the waters edge. Equipment used was an 18" parabolic dish (Edmund Scientific) with homemade components housing Sound Professionals binaural mics, along with a Sony MZ-NH1 HD minidisc recorder.

Sound quality is excellent. And the frogs really perform. As you say, there are even the environmental noises of the swamp in the background.
