Recorded in the early morning from Cobb's Hill Park in Rochester, NY. A Wood Thrush sings it's magical, peaceful song in a tree directly above me, which made for this opportunity. A Red-bellied Woodpecker can be heard in the background. Equipment used was a Sennheiser ME66/K6 mic combo with a Sony MZ-NH1 HD minidisc recorder.

Great sound sample. One of the best on the net that I can find (that is free).

This is an excellent sample. It's difficult to get a wood thrush song without a lot of other bird songs or background noises. Thanks!
