Recorded in Webster, NY just after dark. A Whip-poor-will sounds off from a tree at the edge of the "Big Field". The "peeents" and chirping chatter of American Woodcock can also be heard, along with some Canada Geese, a passing vehicle in the distance, and the voices and footsteps of other birders watching the Woodcock display and the changing location of the Whip-poor-will, that was spotted at the end of the recording by a couple carrying a light. Equipment used was a Sennheiser ME66/K6 mic combo, along with a Sony MZ-NH1 HD minidisc recorder.
